It was Jesus' deity that made His humanity of infinite importance. This book is about the humanity of Jesus. But such a book makes sense, and is possible, only because He was divine. Our salvation depends on both His divinity and humanity; this salvation hangs on His humanity precisely because He was divine. All He did for us a s Man was effectual only because He was God. All He did for us a a Man was acceptable to His Father because He was God, and thus could offer, as our Substitute, a perfect life and an unflawed sacrifice. Thomas A. Davis PB 191 pg.
