This book is from a series of articles penned by Ellen G. White which were published in the Review & Herald articles from August 17, 1905 to February 22, 1906. Israel reached the pinnacle of its glory and mission to give the Gospel to the whole world under the early reign of Solomon. Sadly the enemy of souls was able to derail what could have been. This opportunity would not come again until One “greater than Solomon” Matthew 12:42 came to His people on this earth. It is God’s purpose that the Remnant church will complete the Reformation which Jesus began. The lessons from Solomon’s life of his victories and failures are a beacon of guidance and warning for us. Every Christian who desires to be an overcomer, in cooperation with God, and desires to redeem the failures of the past, must understand and practice the spiritual truths revealed in the history of Solomon’s life experiences. 1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
