This book reviews the issues and trials that Daniel and his companions faced in the courts of Babylon. They faced two great tests on diet and worship. It demonstrated their faithfulness to God’s principles and His approval of their commitment to Him. It points out many lessons to us who are living in the last days of this world’s history. We will be tested as they were and may we be found as faithful as they were. “The word of God presents him (Daniel) as a faultless character. The character of Daniel is presented to the world as a striking example of what God’s grace can make of men fallen by nature and corrupted by sin. The record of his noble, self-denying life is an encouragement to our common humanity. From it we may gather strength nobly to resist temptation, and firmly, and in the grace of meekness, to stand for the right under the severest trial.” Ellen G. White PB 112 pg.
